| PistachiNut Plane |
| The size of the PistachiNut is between a Pistachio and a Peanut size flyer, and this plane is capable of slow and fast flight. The stick and tissue PistachiNut plane has a 9 inch wingspan with a wing area of 22.5 square inches. It is highly maneuverable with quick level turns, and can loop. LiPo cells from 50 to 60 mAh work well with this plane. Plans, instructions, photos, and a video are below. PistachiNut kits with printed plans, instructions, laser cut wing ribs, brass wire, and heat shrink tubing are available for $9 each. |
| The electronic gear used on the PistachiNut pictured below is made by MicroInvent, and Gasparin. A MicroInvent MINOR receiver, two MCA1 actuators, and a Gasparin GB40P6G 4.0:1 ratio gearbox/motor with a 3" carbon fiber prop. Micro wheels and control horns are available on the Misc page. |
